Along one of the ends of Eliot’s beach in Chennai is a long colourful mural depicting city life in Chennai. Here’s one portion of the mural for this week’s Photo Challenge.

PS. I haven’t been able to catch up with posts from you for a while – I’m a bit caught up in the offline world. I’ll be away for some more time, although I’ll attempt a blog post now and then. Hope to catch up with everyone once I return to regular routine.

It’s a three-day weekend for most people around this corner of the globe. Hope you have a great time!
Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas!

Oops! We were a little messy with the chocolate sauce. Normally, I would apologise for the poor quality of the photograph. But since the Daily Post specifically asks us to share photographic (and/or photogenic) disasters, I won’t 😉

Have a sweet weekend!
At one of the lakes at Sariska, we spotted a few large birds. I don’t know their names. And unfortunately the one that was nearest to my lens was quick to fly away. I can’t blame her though. I would have done the same in front of a camera!

Happily, the blogging habit I managed to develop last month is not in much of a hurry to fly away 🙂
What about you? Has the hangover from the Nano month worn off?
Taking an easy way out today, I’m linking to one of the earlier posts of this year… I’ve been tied up with work the past couple of days. Hopefully I won’t have to link to other posts anytime soon 🙂 hope you enjoy:

No matter how late it might get
No matter where I am,
I’ve learnt the hard way;
It’s wise to take public transit
And avoid the traffic jam.
I knew the traffic was bad. But I never expected the roads of Delhi to be so bad. Today it took me two hours to travel a distance that should have been 15 minutes. But coming to think of it, traffic has its place in levelling the field. In a city that likes to flaunt its premium wheels, public transport actually ends up being a better option. And a pedestrian can actually be faster than the fastest car on the road!
The traffic isn’t doing any good to my blogging or writing skills, though.

On a dry, hot October afternoon, the deer were relaxing in the shade of their little oasis. The way some of them stared at us, I can only imagine them gossiping about the wide-eyed trespassers and the ridiculous noises coming from those black things in their hands.
