I’m not really sure how long it takes in the US… this year was the longest in our history, with voting in 9 phases from 7 April to 12 May. The results were declared on the 16th of May
Nearly 600 million going to the polls has got to be the most spectacular show of democratic might on earth!! Even the great migration fails to come close 😀

How long does the process go on? Surely not as long as in the US.
